SMS Terms & Conditions

Breakthrough Birmingham operates an SMS/text messaging program used to communicate with the families we serve. Messages include program announcements, reminders, schedule changes, check-ins, RSVP requests, and support communications. Families may reply directly to any message to reach a Breakthrough staff member.

Families are added to the program by Breakthrough staff using the phone number provided to us during enrollment or program registration, and receive a welcome text explaining the program and how to opt out. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of participating in any Breakthrough program or receiving any service.

Message frequency varies. You can expect approximately 2–8 messages per month, depending on the programs and groups your family is enrolled in, plus any replies you exchange with staff.

Msg & data rates may apply. Standard messaging and data rates charged by your mobile carrier may apply to messages you send or receive. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your plan.

You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will not receive further messages unless you re-join. To re-join, reply START or ask a Breakthrough staff member to add you back.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and is not guaranteed. Supported carriers may change at any time.

We do not share, sell, or rent your mobile number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued participation in the SMS program after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
